What began as a solo project for Cincinnati area musician Chuck Walden has slowly grown into a fully collaborative process featuring long-time friends and members of the Cincinnati music scene, which is itself also often situated between the detached existentialism of slacker rock and the jangly indie scenes of the 1980's in both Manchester and Dunedin, respectively.
Recorded over several years with various lineup changes, 'Back 2 U' features a new approach in production, tying together blistering guitar leads and machine-like drums in a glorious wall of sound. In early 2026 Maura Weaver joined the group as the band put the finishing touches on the album with audio engineer John Hoffman. Longtime members Alexander Giehl and Brad Kennedy appear prominently along with former member Sam Stansfield and frequent collaborator Dakota Carlyle.
